Boosting Member Engagement: The Success of The CIH Euronics Podcast
Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH) is an electrical buying group, part of Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying group, which operates in over 30 countries with an annual turnover of €21.5billion.
With around 450 members and approximately 620 stores across the UK, CIH provides a range of services and benefits to support each independent electrical retailer, as well as exclusive ranges that the members’ customers are unable to find anywhere else on the high street, or internet.
Effective & flexible communication
The Challenge
CIH faces a challenge ensuring that their communications reach all 450 members. There is a vast amount of news to share but members are extremely busy running their businesses, so making it an easy process for them to receive and digest information is important.
The marketing team is continuously reviewing its member communications and looking at ways to improve – it is an area we felt Wildwood Plus could add value.
Our aim was to enhance CIH Euronics’ internal communications, boost engagement, and strengthen loyalty among CIH members. We want to highlight the unique advantages of being part of this class-leading international association.
“The CIH Euronics podcast is a groundbreaking piece for us. We send our members many, many emails which can get read, or be easily overlooked. We’ve started creating video content which does get some eyeballs. But the podcast is giving our members the ultimate way to digest all the key information that we want to share with them.
Because it’s audio, they can pick and choose when and where they listen to it – when they’re out delivering in the van, working in the office, or in spare time in the mornings, evenings or at the weekend when they’re walking the dog, making a meal or wherever. The podcast is really cutting through and the response from our members to it has been fantastic.”

Our Solution
Working with the client we created The CIH Euronics Podcast to foster and build relationships within the Euronics member network.
We produce and present The CIH Euronics Podcast, a private, subscriber-only podcast for the 450+ Euronics network of agents across UK and Ireland.
This podcast serves as a dynamic form of internal communication, replacing endless emails. It keeps CIH members informed about promotions, offers, and changes, while also featuring interviews with members who share best practices and success stories. The podcast serves as the ideal mechanism for highlighting the company’s key messages to its network in a comprehensive, accessible and digestible way.
We work with the CIH Euronics team to identify guests – whether that is internal staff from CIH, members discussing how they have utilised a service or tool on offer from Euronics or suppliers sharing their latest news – as well as developing messaging and scripts.
We record, edit and produce every episode. That includes organising face-to-face and remote recordings, ensuring the sound is consistent and of a high quality across every interview.
Wildwood Plus also manages the subscription service for the podcast, adding members and delivering analytics. Enabling a smooth process for a regular, monthly podcast communication for members.
