What are the major trends guiding the residential technology industry? Which products will smart home professionals eagerly await to install when they hit the market? The answer to those questions and much more can be found at the annual CEDIA Expo, this year being staged at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, U.S. from Wednesday 3rd September – Saturday 6th September as Arlen Schweiger, Former CE Pro Editor explains.

What are the major trends guiding the residential technology industry? Which products will smart home professionals eagerly await to install when they hit the market? The answer to those questions and much more can be found at the annual CEDIA Expo, this year being staged at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, U.S. from Wednesday 3rd September – Saturday 6th September.

Plus, for the increasing number of integrators who work in both the residential and commercial (or “resimercial”) sectors, CEDIA Expo 2025 will again be co-located with the Commercial Integrator Expo, now in its third year. That gives attendees more than 300 exhibitors to visit and potentially bolster their portfolios.

Smart Home Keeps on Building

CEDIA Expo

As in recent years, this year’s event promises to highlight the ever-expanding smart home, which today encompasses everything from AV wares and home automation to lighting controls and fixtures, motorized shades, sophisticated security solutions, power and energy systems, enterprise networking products, cybersecurity, and wellness technologies.

Not only will CEDIA Expo be buzzing inside the convention centre, but once again, the “Destination Outdoors” zone will feature exciting solutions for that red-hot market. Integrators can expect to experience new products and demos led by outdoor audio and landscape lighting so dealers can enhance their project proposals.

High Marks in Education

Of course, CEDIA Expo is also the place for integration business owners to glean insights into running their companies more efficiently and profitably. In addition to all the technology and demos on the show floor, myriad business management software providers are exhibiting and the conference side of the Expo has been retooled this year to address four focussed education segments:

  • Business Track: Actionable Info for Owners
  • Technical Track: Learn the Latest from the Best
  • Design & Build Track: Build Your Business with Designers and Builders
  • Future Focus Track: Find Out What’s Next: Before your Competition Does

The latter education segment stands to be especially fascinating and valuable for attendees, as it will cover cutting- and bleeding-edge technologies such as the impact of AI; the growing need for power/energy management and storage; the rise of robotics in home environments; and more innovation insights straight from California’s Silicon Valley. Also, the Smart Stage on the show floor provides another area to hear about trends from industry leaders and engaging panel sessions.

As always, Wildwood Plus can help present exhibitors and attendees enhance their communications, public relations, and marketing strategies. Connect with us before CEDIA Expo 2025 to see how partnering with Wildwood Plus can give your company a competitive advantage.
